Human Hemoglobin Beta (HBb) ELISA Kit

The beta-globin subunit encoded by the HBB gene forms half of the adult hemoglobin tetramer (HbA, α2β2), making this Assay Genie kit a useful tool for studies of red blood cell physiology and hemoglobinopathies such as beta-thalassemia and sickle cell disease. The competitive immunoassay format detects both free beta-globin chains and those incorporated into intact hemoglobin, accepting whole blood derivatives and solubilised erythrocytes as input material. Researchers measuring expression changes in erythroid cell models, characterising globin-switching dynamics, or screening patient samples for abnormal chain balance can process a full microplate of 96 assays per run using just 50 µL of sample per well. Reagents should be kept refrigerated and equilibrated to room temperature before the protocol begins, and the colorimetric end-point is read on a standard plate reader fitted with the appropriate filter.
