Human Hematopoietic progenitor cell antigen CD34 (CD34) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed to detect and quantify human Hematopoietic progenitor cell antigen CD34 in research samples. The kit is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method. Suitable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human CD34.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.6% and inter-assay CV is 7.1%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (101-111%, 98-109%, 104-113%, 105-114% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (82-91%, 86-96%, 113-113%, 105-117%) and heparin plasma (107-117%, 92-102%, 102-112%, 96-108%). Recovery is 98% (range 92-104%) in serum and 100% (range 94-106%) in plasma.

CD34 is described as a possible adhesion molecule with a role in early hematopoiesis, mediating attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or to stromal cells, and presenting carbohydrate ligands to selectins. The kit is intended for research use only, with applications in cancer research and the study of hematopoietic progenitor cell biology.
