Human Heat shock-related 70 kDa protein 2 (HSPA2) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of Human Heat shock-related 70 kDa protein 2 (HSPA2), also known as Heat shock 70 kDa protein 2. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

HSPA2 is a molecular chaperone implicated in a wide variety of cellular processes, including protection of the proteome from stress, folding and transport of newly synthesized polypeptides, activation of proteolysis of misfolded proteins, and the formation and dissociation of protein complexes. It plays a pivotal role in the protein quality control system, ensuring the correct folding of proteins and the re-folding of misfolded proteins, and it is essential for proper protein folding and maintaining cellular homeostasis under stressful conditions. HSPA2 also plays a role in spermatogenesis, where it may participate in maintaining spindle integrity during meiosis in male germ cells in association with SHCBP1L.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 4.3% and inter-assay CV at 7.6%. Recovery averages 86% (range 80-92%) in serum and 88% (range 82-94%) in plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human HSPA2 and is for research use only. UniProt: P54652.
