Quantitative immunoassay for measuring Heat Shock Protein Beta 2 (HSPb2) in human research samples, manufactured by Assay Genie. HSPb2 is a small heat shock protein expressed predominantly in cardiac and skeletal muscle, where it participates in stress response, cytoskeletal organization, and protection against proteotoxic damage. The kit supports investigations into muscle physiology, cardiomyopathy models, exercise-induced stress adaptation, and chaperone biology.

Researchers apply this kit to a diverse set of human-derived specimens, including serum or plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants. The protocol is built around a 96-assay microplate layout, allowing medium-throughput screening of experimental cohorts alongside standards and controls. Detection proceeds via an antibody-pair-based quantitative ELISA approach, producing absorbance readings proportional to HSPb2 concentration in each sample.

Each kit ships with pre-coated plates, reference standards, detection antibody, substrate solution, wash buffer, and assay diluents sufficient for one full plate run. Standard curves are generated from serial dilutions of the supplied recombinant HSPb2 reference material, and sample values are interpolated against the curve. The kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic procedures.

Typical laboratory applications include studies of chaperone dysregulation in heart failure, skeletal muscle stress, and comparative analyses across treated versus untreated cell culture models. Unopened kits should be kept refrigerated until first use, with reconstituted reagents stored according to the protocol insert. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles of prepared standards should be avoided to preserve antigen integrity.
