Human Heat shock factor protein 4 (HSF4) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Heat shock factor protein 4 (HSF4) in research samples. The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.076 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.1% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Specificity is confirmed against natural and recombinant human HSF4. Reported recovery is 89% (range 83–95%) in serum and 91% (range 85–97%) in plasma. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.

HSF4 is a DNA-binding protein that specifically binds heat shock promoter elements (HSE); isoform HSF4A represses transcription while isoform HSF4B activates it. The protein localises to the nucleus and functions as a homotrimer that exhibits constitutive DNA binding, interacting with ALKBH4, DUSP26, MAPK1, MAPK2 and MAP kinase p38. For research use only.
