Human Heat shock factor protein 1 (HSF1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich-format ELISA designed to quantify human Heat shock factor protein 1 (HSF1), also known as Heat shock transcription factor 1, HSTF 1, HSF 1, or HSTF1. The assay is reactive with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human HSF1 (UniProt Q00613).

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.11ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 3.5% and inter-assay CV is 7.2%. Linearity spans 86-116% in serum, 80-115% in EDTA plasma, and 95-117% in heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averaged 97% in serum (range 91-103%) and 99% in plasma (range 93-105%).

HSF1 is a key protein in the cellular stress response, protecting cells from damage and maintaining homeostasis, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. The protein also plays a role in latent HIV-1 transcriptional reactivation by binding to the HIV-1 long terminal repeat promoter and recruiting transcriptional elongation factors such as CDK9, CCNT1, and EP300.
