The HCLS1 protein (Hematopoietic Cell-Specific Lyn Substrate 1), also referred to as HS1, is a hematopoietic-lineage-restricted substrate of Src-family kinases such as Lyn, Fyn, and Lck. It functions as an intracellular adaptor in antigen-receptor signaling cascades, coupling lymphocyte activation to actin cytoskeleton remodeling through a cortactin-homology domain that mediates F-actin cross-linking.
