Description

This sandwich double-antibody ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human HBXIP (Hepatitis B virus X-interacting protein) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method in which the target analyte is captured on a pre-coated microplate, bound by a biotinylated detection antibody, and visualised using HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm after the reaction is stopped with an acidic solution.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a standard curve range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. The procedure involves incubation at 37 °C across sequential steps: 90 minutes for primary antigen binding, 60 minutes for detection antibody binding, and 30 minutes for HRP-Streptavidin binding, followed by 10–20 minutes of TMB colour development in the dark. Validated linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 82–104% for serum, 81–103% for EDTA plasma and 81–100% for heparin plasma, with average recovery of 92% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma and 98% in heparin plasma.

The kit is intended for cell biology research and should be stored at 2–8 °C for up to 12 months.
