Human HBA1/ Hemoglobin subunit alpha ELISA Kit

A high quality Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human HBA1 (Hemoglobin subunit alpha) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is suitable for research applications investigating hemoglobin subunit alpha, a key component of hemoglobin involved in oxygen transport from the lung to peripheral tissues. Abnormal levels of HBA1 are associated with conditions such as Heinz body anemias, alpha-thalassemia, and hemoglobin H disease.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/ml and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/ml. Spiked recovery in serum (n=5) is 87–102% (average 95%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 93–98% (average 96%), and in UFH plasma (n=5) 87–105% (average 95%). Linearity upon serial dilution is 85–103%, 87–102% and 90–100% for serum (1:2, 1:4, 1:8); 82–92%, 82–101% and 84–100% for EDTA plasma; and 81–97%, 85–100% and 80–94% for UFH plasma. Intra-assay CV is <8% and inter-assay CV is <10%.
