Human GSTA5/Glutathione S Transferase Alpha 5 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Glutathione S-Transferase Alpha 5 (GSTA5) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, achieving a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL across a measurable range of 0.625-40 ng/mL.

GSTA5 is an enzyme involved in cellular detoxification, specifically the metabolism of xenobiotics and carcinogens. Its dysregulation has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, making it a valuable biomarker for studying disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic strategies.

The protocol includes equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, then loading standards, samples, and controls onto the pre-coated plate. Following a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a biotin-labeled detection antibody is added for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes. Colour development with TMB substrate is carried out for 10–20 minutes in the dark, before stop solution is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Protocols are specific to each batch/lot, and the protocol included with the kit should be followed. Performance has been validated for linearity and recovery across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma matrices, and all kit components are intended to be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.
