Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the measurement of human GRP78 (Glucose-Regulated Protein 78), also referred to as BiP, in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and can be completed in 3 h 30 min. The reported sensitivity is 0.38 ng/mL, with a detection range of 0.63-40 ng/mL and recovery of 80%-120%. A sample volume of 100 μL is used, and no significant cross-reactivity or interference between human GRP78 and analogues was observed.

GRP78 is a molecular chaperone involved in protein folding and assembly, particularly in response to cellular stress such as glucose deprivation or endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. Abnormal expression of GRP78 has been linked to cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders. The kit is relevant to research areas including cancer and tags and cell markers, with storage at 2-8℃.
