Human Growth/differentiation factor 11 (GDF11) ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is configured for quantitative measurement of human Growth/differentiation factor 11 (GDF11), also referred to as BMP-11 and Bone morphogenetic protein 11. Reactivity is human, and the assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human GDF11.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 10pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%. Spike-and-recovery testing gave an average recovery of 99% (range 93-105%) in serum and 101% (range 95-107%) in plasma. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 with N=5 per matrix.

GDF11 is a secreted member of the TGF-beta family that acts globally to specify positional identity along the anterior/posterior axis during development and contributes to patterning of mesodermal and neural tissues. Final absorbance is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader using the sandwich ELISA protocol provided.
