The assay detects both natural and recombinant human GAS6 and is intended for research use only.

Manufacturer specifications report a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.01 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.5% and inter-assay CV of 6.8%. Recovery in serum averages 94% (range 88–100%) and in plasma 96% (range 90–102%). The target protein, also known as AXL receptor tyrosine kinase ligand, GAS-6, and AXLLG, is a secreted ligand for the AXL, TYRO3, and MER receptor tyrosine kinases that forms heterodimers and heterotetramers with AXL, with research area applications in cardiovascular research.
