The GRIA1 gene encodes the GluA1 subunit of the AMPA-type ionotropic glutamate receptor, a principal mediator of fast excitatory synaptic transmission in the central nervous system. This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is configured as a 96-well microplate and is calibrated to quantify human GRIA1 protein in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids.
Researchers commonly apply the assay to investigate receptor subunit expression in neurobiology, neurology, and neurodegenerative disease studies, including work on synaptic plasticity, long-term potentiation, and glutamate signaling pathways. Standard sample volumes of 100 µL per well are typical, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.
Store unused strip wells at 2-8 °C, keep the kit refrigerated between uses, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of reconstituted reagents. The 96-well plate format supports multiple sample replicates and standard curves in a single run. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic procedures.
