The Assay Genie Human GRB14 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of growth factor receptor-bound protein 14, a cytoplasmic adapter implicated in insulin receptor signaling, hepatic glucose homeostasis, and the negative regulation of insulin action. Investigators in metabolic disease research use the kit to evaluate GRB14 protein levels in serum and plasma samples, cell culture lysates, and tissue homogenates from experimental models of type 2 diabetes, obesity, and insulin resistance.

Built on a pre-coated 96-well microplate in sandwich immunoassay format, the workflow pairs a human-specific capture antibody with a biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP conjugate, producing a colorimetric readout measured at 450 nm. The capture antibody is human-specific, showing no significant cross-reactivity with the paralogous adapter proteins GRB7 and GRB10 or with rat Grb14.

Each kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well plate, lyophilized standards, detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP, concentrated wash buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and assay diluent sufficient for 96 determinations. Reagent components should be stored refrigerated at 2-8 °C; reconstituted standards may be aliquoted and held frozen at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, with stability preserved for approximately one month under recommended conditions.
