Human Granulysin (GNLY) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich-format ELISA provides quantitative measurement of human Granulysin (GNLY), a secreted antimicrobial protein located in the cytotoxic granules of T-cells that are released upon antigen stimulation. Granulysin shows activity against a broad range of microbes, including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and parasites, and kills Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

The kit is intended for research use only and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It detects natural and recombinant human Granulysin with a detection range of 0.312–20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.7% and inter-assay CV is 9.1%. Linearity in serum (N=5) is 97–106% at 1:2, 101–110% at 1:4, 97–107% at 1:8 and 86–94% at 1:16; corresponding values for EDTA plasma are 109–119%, 108–118%, 81–90% and 87–96%, and for heparin plasma 105–115%, 113–113%, 101–111% and 86–98%. Recovery averages 98% (range 92–104%) in serum and 100% (range 94–106%) in plasma. Results are read on a microplate reader at 450 nm.
