Human Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (CSF2) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF/CSF2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and shows reactivity specifically with human samples, detecting both natural and recombinant forms of the cytokine.

The kit provides a detection range of 15.6–1000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 9.8 pg/mL. Precision is characterised by an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 10.8%. Spike-and-recovery testing yielded an average recovery of 104% (range 98–110%) in serum and 106% (range 100–112%) in plasma, and linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions (1:2 to 1:16) in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

GM-CSF is a secreted cytokine that stimulates the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells from various lineages, including granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils and erythrocytes. It plays a critical role in the regulation of immune responses, and its dysregulation has been implicated in autoimmune disorders, inflammatory conditions and certain cancers, making it a relevant target in immunological research.
