Human GPV/CD42d PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0649)

The Human GPV/CD42d PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie targets platelet glycoprotein V, an integral subunit of the GPIb-IX-V complex that mediates platelet adhesion to von Willebrand factor at sites of vascular injury. Glycoprotein V is cleaved by thrombin during platelet activation and expressed primarily in the megakaryocyte lineage, supporting applications in thrombopoiesis and Bernard-Soulier syndrome research, a rare autosomal recessive bleeding disorder linked to defects in the GPIb-IX-V complex. Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, stop solution, concentrated wash buffer, and a recombinant standard calibrated against native platelet GPV; a sample volume of 100 uL is added per well. The capture antibody is human-specific, with no significant cross-reactivity reported against rat or mouse GPV orthologues, supporting accurate quantitation in human specimens. Reconstituted standards and antibody vials are stored at -20 °C with protection from light, while unused strip wells and concentrated buffers remain stable refrigerated; repeated freeze-thaw cycles are not recommended.
