Human GOT2/Aspartate aminotransferase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA employs a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of aspartate aminotransferase (GOT2) in human samples. Compatible specimen types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and detection is colorimetric with a reported sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. The kit is supplied for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months and is intended for use within the Cell Biology research area.

Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8: serum (n=5) recovered 90–104%, 92–100% and 80–95%; EDTA plasma (n=5) recovered 87–95%, 84–101% and 81–100%; and heparin plasma (n=5) recovered 85–102%, 86–101% and 88–99%. Spike-recovery was 85–101% (average 94%) for serum (n=5), 88–104% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 93–101% (average 98%) for heparin plasma (n=5). The workflow involves reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, stop solution addition, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
