GOLM1 — also known as GP73, GOLPH2, or CASC4 — is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that normally resides in the cis-Golgi of epithelial cells but is upregulated in hepatocytes under viral, fibrotic, and neoplastic stress. Circulating GP73 has been investigated as a biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), chronic hepatitis B and C, and liver cirrhosis, and the assay supports oncology, hepatology, and translational biomarker workflows.
