Human GNS ELISA Kit (HUFI04075)

The GNS ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of N-acetylglucosamine-6-sulfatase, a lysosomal sulfatase required for stepwise catabolism of the glycosaminoglycan heparan sulfate. Deficiency of GNS activity, caused by mutations in the GNS gene, results in mucopolysaccharidosis type IIID (Sanfilippo D syndrome), a rare lysosomal storage disorder with progressive neurological involvement, so reliable measurement of GNS protein is relevant to MPS research, biomarker validation, and evaluation of enzyme replacement strategies. Each kit provides reagents arranged in a microplate sufficient for the full plate run, intended for research use only and read on a standard absorbance plate reader.
