GM-CSF R alpha, also known as CSF2RA or CD116, is the ligand-binding subunit of the granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor receptor. This type I transmembrane protein initiates JAK2/STAT5 signaling and drives myeloid progenitor proliferation, differentiation, and survival, with established roles in hematopoiesis, pulmonary surfactant clearance, and inflammatory disease models. This in vitro research kit from Assay Genie is supplied as a microplate-based kit configured for 96 individual determinations and is intended for research use only.

The immunoassay uses a capture antibody pre-bound to the plate to bind soluble human GM-CSF R alpha released into cell culture supernatant, heparinized plasma, or serum. A biotinylated detection antibody is added, followed by streptavidin-HRP and TMB substrate, and the enzymatic reaction is stopped for absorbance measurement on a standard plate reader. Standards of recombinant human GM-CSF R alpha are included so sample concentrations can be interpolated from a standard curve. Reagents should be refrigerated upon receipt, protected from light where indicated, and equilibrated to room temperature before use. The kit provides a complete set of pre-coated wells, detection reagents, and buffer solutions for the full 96-sample run.

Assay Genie offers a matched human GM-CSF PharmaGenie ELISA within the same product family, enabling paired measurement of ligand and soluble receptor from matched biological specimens. Researchers studying autoimmune disease, leukemia, pulmonary alveolar proteinosis, or GM-CSF signaling in primary cell models can apply this receptor-focused kit to quantify receptor shedding from transfected cell lines and circulating soluble receptor in patient-derived material.
