Human Glypican-4 (GPC4) ELISA Kit

Reported performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.08ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 6.9%. The assay uses a sandwich format with ELISA detection, and its specificity covers natural and recombinant human Glypican-4. Recovery in serum averages 89% (range 83-95%) and in plasma 91% (range 85-97%). Linearity has been characterised across serial dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.

Glypican-4 is a cell surface proteoglycan that bears heparan sulfate and may be involved in the development of kidney tubules and the central nervous system. It belongs to the glypican family, is secreted to the extracellular space, and is encoded by the GPC4 gene on Xq26.2, with a reported molecular weight of 62kDa.
