Human Glycylpeptide N-tetradecanoyltransferase 1 (NMT1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Glycylpeptide N-tetradecanoyltransferase 1 (NMT1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using natural and recombinant human NMT1 as the target.

The kit reports a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 34pg/ml. Intra-assay CV is 4.6% and inter-assay CV is 8.3%. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum (88-97% to 102-112% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (103-111% to 107-115%) and heparin plasma (84-96% to 92-104%). Recovery is 109% (range 103-115%) for serum and 111% (range 105-117%) for plasma.

NMT1 is an enzyme that adds a myristoyl group to the N-terminal glycine residue of certain cellular and viral proteins and has been implicated in cancer, neurological disorders and infectious diseases, making it a subject of research interest as a potential therapeutic target and diagnostic marker. The kit is intended for research use only.
