Description

Supplied by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Glycylpeptide N-tetradecanoyltransferase 1 (NMT1) in human samples. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay is run on a pre-coated plate using a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), with signal generated by TMB substrate and read at 450 nm. The procedure includes a 37°C primary incubation for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, and HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes.

Reported assay performance includes a sensitivity of 2.813 pg/mL and a measuring range of 4.688–300 pg/mL. Spiked recovery in human samples averages 98% for serum (n = 5), 98% for EDTA plasma (n = 5), and 92% for heparin plasma (n = 5), with recovery ranges of 91–103%, 93–105%, and 85–97% respectively. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is 93–101%, 83–99%, and 80–100% for serum; 86–102%, 83–99%, and 82–94% for EDTA plasma; and 92–101%, 82–97%, and 80–94% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Listed synonyms include NMT1, NMT, Type I N-myristoyltransferase, Myristoyl-CoA:protein N-myristoyltransferase 1, and Peptide N-myristoyltransferase 1, with UniProt reference P30419.
