Human Glycoprotein 6/GP6 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Glycoprotein 6 (GP6) in human samples. GP6 is a platelet glycoprotein involved in platelet activation, with roles in hemostasis and thrombosis; abnormal levels have been associated with cardiovascular disorders, making it a useful biomarker in related research.

The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is reactive with human samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Sensitivity is reported at 28.125 pg/mL with a measuring range of 46.875–3000 pg/mL. Kits should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity across dilutions 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 has been validated: serum 86-104%, 86-97%, 80-96%; EDTA plasma 86-103%, 83-99%, 88-95%; heparin plasma 89-105%, 86-95%, 80-100%. Recovery ranges are 88-99% (average 93) for serum, 87-101% (average 91) for EDTA plasma, and 87-97% (average 93) for heparin plasma. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution.
