Human Glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK3B) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK3B) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples. GSK3B, also referred to as Serine/threonine-protein kinase GSK3B or GSK-3 beta, is a constitutively active protein kinase that acts as a negative regulator in the hormonal control of glucose homeostasis, Wnt signaling and the regulation of transcription factors and microtubules, by phosphorylating and inactivating glycogen synthase and other substrates. Dysregulation of GSK3B has been implicated in diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, diabetes and cancer, supporting its relevance as a research target and potential diagnostic marker.

The assay detects natural and recombinant human GSK3B, with a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. For research use only.
