Description
Assay Genie supplies a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit for the quantitative measurement of Human Glycodelin (Progestagen-Associated Endometrial Protein) in human samples. The kit is reactive with human specimens and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric via a sandwich ELISA format using a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), with TMB substrate and absorbance read at 450 nm.
Reported assay performance is a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a range of 1.563-100 ng/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 94-105%, 86-105% and 85-105% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions; EDTA plasma (n=5) shows 82-97%, 84-101% and 87-100%; and heparin plasma (n=5) shows 87-99%, 80-93% and 82-92%. Recovery averages 92% in serum (range 85-101%), 92% in EDTA plasma (range 86-94%) and 93% in heparin plasma (range 89-98%). The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
Glycodelin, also known as progestagen-associated endometrial protein, plays a critical role in pregnancy and the regulation of the female reproductive system and is involved in immune response modulation, embryo implantation and the maintenance of a healthy pregnancy. Dysregulation of glycodelin levels has been linked to infertility, miscarriage and certain reproductive disorders, making it a biomarker of interest in reproductive health research.
