Human Glycated Albumin (GA) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Glycated Albumin (GA) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Glycated albumin is recognised as a key biomarker of short-term glycemic fluctuations in diabetic patients, providing a reflection of glycemic control over a shorter window than glycated haemoglobin owing to the shorter half-life of albumin.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with a detection range of 15.6-1000ng/mL and a sensitivity of 7.495ng/mL. Reported precision is 6.8% intra-assay CV and 10.4% inter-assay CV. Linearity has been characterised across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recovery averaging 88% (range 82-94%) and plasma recovery averaging 90% (range 84-96%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Glycated Albumin and is supplied for research use only.
