Human Glycated Albumin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of human glycated albumin (GA) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses a colorimetric TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm, and the kit is intended for cell biology research, including studies of glycemic control and diabetic complications such as cardiovascular disease, nephropathy, and retinopathy.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.938 pmol/mL and a measuring range of 1.563–100 pmol/mL. In validation data, recovery averages are 100% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma (ranges 86–105%, 88–103%, and 85–104% respectively). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is 88–105% / 83–97% / 80–94% for serum, 89–103% / 82–98% / 87–98% for EDTA plasma, and 88–104% / 86–99% / 80–97% for heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C, with the kit stable for 12 months under those conditions.

The workflow involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate for 90 minutes at 37°C, adding biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, applying HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
