Human Glutathione S-transferase omega-1 (GSTO1) ELISA Kit

The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It provides a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.034ng/mL, and uses ELISA as the detection method.

GSTO1 is an omega class glutathione S-transferase that exhibits glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities, alongside S-(phenacyl)glutathione reductase activity. The protein participates in the biotransformation of inorganic arsenic and reduces monomethylarsonic acid (MMA) and dimethylarsonic acid. Dysregulation of GSTO1 has been linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. The target is a cytoplasmic homodimer with a reported molecular weight of 24,796 Da (UniProt P78417).

Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and inter-assay CV of 10.6%. Linearity spans 83-120% in serum, 81-127% in EDTA plasma, and 85-118% in heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averages 97% (91-103%) in serum and 99% (93-105%) in plasma. The kit is specific to natural and recombinant human GSTO1 and is intended for research use only within the cell biology research area.
