Human Glutathione S-transferase A3 (GSTA3) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Glutathione S-transferase A3 (GSTA3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Assay performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.8%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Specificity covers both natural and recombinant human GSTA3.

GSTA3 conjugates reduced glutathione to a wide range of exogenous and endogenous hydrophobic electrophiles and catalyses isomerization reactions contributing to steroid hormone biosynthesis, including efficient double-bond isomerizations of delta(5)-androstene-3,17-dione and delta(5)-pregnene-3,20-dione, precursors to testosterone and progesterone, respectively. Linearity has been evaluated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (N=5), with recovery averaging 88% (range 82-94%) in serum and 90% (range 84-96%) in plasma.
