Human Glutathione S-transferase A2 (GSTA2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Glutathione S-transferase A2 (GSTA2) in biological samples. GSTA2 is a key detoxification enzyme that catalyses the conjugation of reduced glutathione to a wide number of exogenous and endogenous hydrophobic electrophiles and belongs to the alpha class of the GST superfamily. The kit is reactive with human samples and recognises natural and recombinant human GSTA2.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.181 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 7.5% and an inter-assay CV of 11.7%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery in serum averages 101% (range 95–107%) and in plasma averages 103% (range 97–109%). Detection is by colorimetric ELISA.

The kit accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids and is for research use only. GSTA2 occurs in the cytoplasm as a homodimer or a heterodimer with GSTA1, and the protein corresponds to UniProt entry P09210 with a molecular weight of 25,664 Da.
