Human Glutaredoxin-1 (GLRX) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the accurate detection of glutaredoxin-1 levels in human samples. The assay has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit detects natural and recombinant human Glutaredoxin-1 (GLRX), also known as Thioltransferase-1, TTase-1, or GRX. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.088 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.7% and inter-assay CV is 10.3%. Reported linearity for serum (N=5) spans 99–118% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions; EDTA plasma spans 85–113%; and heparin plasma spans 87–120%. Average recovery is 87% (range 81–93%) for serum and 89% (range 83–95%) for plasma.

Glutaredoxin-1 is a cytoplasmic oxidoreductase with glutathione-disulfide oxidoreductase activity in the presence of NADPH and glutathione reductase, reducing low molecular weight disulfides and proteins. The kit is intended for research use only.
