Description

Designed for the quantitative detection of human Glutamate [NMDA] receptor subunit zeta-1 (GRIN1), this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides a reliable tool for research in neuroscience. The kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human Glutamate receptor ionotropic, NMDA 1.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Linearity has been assessed across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (88-97%, 109-117%, 94-106%, 104-114%), EDTA plasma (95-103%, 85-98%, 97-107%, 111-111%), and heparin plasma (81-94%, 105-114%, 93-103%, 98-107%). Recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) in serum and 90% (range 84-96%) in plasma.

GRIN1 is a critical subunit of the NMDA receptor and a key mediator of excitatory neurotransmission in the brain, with dysfunction implicated in Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, and epilepsy. The kit is intended for research use only and is associated with UniProt entry Q05586.
