Human Glutamate dehydrogenase/GDH ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate detection of glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) levels in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie offers high sensitivity and specificity for a range of research applications. Glutamate dehydrogenase is an important enzyme involved in the metabolism of amino acids, particularly in the regulation of glutamate levels in the brain, and its dysregulation has been linked to various neurological disorders including epilepsy and neurodegenerative diseases.

The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, with kit components stable for 12 months at 2–8°C.

Spike-and-recovery testing returned averages of 95% for serum (range 86–105%), 94% for EDTA plasma (87–104%) and 97% for heparin plasma (88–105%). Linearity upon serial dilution at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 was 89–95% / 88–100% / 80–99% for serum, 96–104% / 86–101% / 82–97% for EDTA plasma, and 89–103% / 84–99% / 82–97% for heparin plasma.
