Validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, the assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant human GCLC. The reported detection range is 0.156-10ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.076 ng/mL. Precision figures include an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 7.3%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16, while recovery averages 83% (range 80-89%) in serum and 85% (range 80-91%) in plasma.
