Quantify human SLC2A2-encoded GLUT2 transporter protein across metabolic disease research workflows. The Assay Genie kit provides a quantitative immunoassay platform with a colorimetric endpoint, calibrated against recombinant human GLUT2 standard curves for accurate measurement of the low-affinity, high-capacity facilitative glucose transporter responsible for glucose sensing in pancreatic beta cells, hepatic glucose output, renal reabsorption, and intestinal absorption.

Validated across multiple biological sample matrices including serum preparations, plasma fractions, tissue homogenates, and other specimen types, the kit supports studies on Type 2 diabetes pathogenesis, hepatic glucose metabolism, renal glucose handling, intestinal carbohydrate transport, and beta-cell glucose sensing mechanisms. The plate-based format provides pre-coated wells, detection antibodies, standards, and reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations.

Assay Genie's GLUT2 ELISA enables researchers to track transporter expression changes in disease models, evaluate pharmacological interventions targeting glucose homeostasis, and screen patient samples for biomarker studies related to metabolic disorders including diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and renal glucosuria. The assay is specifically calibrated for the human SLC2A2 gene product and uses paired antibodies for target specificity. Store kit components refrigerated to preserve reagent activity throughout the product shelf life.

Bring all reagents to room temperature before initiating the assay protocol. Standard laboratory plate readers with absorbance detection capability are sufficient for the colorimetric endpoint.
