Human Glucokinase regulatory protein (GCKR) ELISA Kit

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/ml, a sensitivity of 40.1pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.8%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.4%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery averaged 98% (range 92-104%) in serum and 100% (range 94-106%) in plasma.

The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human GCKR. Components should be stored at -20°C, with the wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution stored at 4°C; the kit ships at +4°C. GCKR functions as a regulatory protein that inhibits glucokinase activity, with its affinity for GCK modulated by fructose metabolites such as fructose 6-phosphate and fructose 1-phosphate.
