Human GFAP (Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein) CLIA Kit (HUES01042)

This chemiluminescence-based immunoassay kit from Assay Genie is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. It uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle: standards or samples are added to antibody pre-coated micro CLIA plate wells, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human GFAP and an Avidin-HRP conjugate. After substrate addition, the resulting signal is read on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, with Relative Light Unit (RLU) values proportional to Human GFAP concentration.

The kit is reactive with human samples and recognises Human GFAP, with no significant cross-reactivity or interference from analogues reported. Sensitivity is quoted at 37.50 pg/mL and the detection range at 62.50-4000 pg/mL. The recommended sample volume is 100 μL, the total assay time is 3.5h, and both intra-assay and inter-assay coefficients of variation are stated to be < 15%. The product is intended for research applications in cell biology.
