GDPD2 (glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase domain-containing protein 2), also known as GDE3, is a membrane-associated enzyme that hydrolyzes glycerophosphocholine and related phospholipid catabolites, releasing choline and glycerol-3-phosphate. By linking glycerophospholipid turnover with choline metabolism, GDPD2 contributes to osmoregulation, membrane remodeling, and intracellular signaling, and its expression has been characterized in differentiating neuronal progenitors and in tumor cell lines where altered lipid metabolism supports proliferation. Assay Genie supplies this research-grade kit to laboratories studying lipid biochemistry, neurobiology, oncology, and metabolic disease pathways.
The supplied microplate is pre-coated with anti-GDPD2 capture antibody. Each kit also contains biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, wash buffer, recombinant standards, and assay diluent. Reagents should be kept refrigerated; the standard should be aliquoted upon receipt and freeze-thaw cycles limited to preserve calibration integrity. Researchers add 100 µL of sample to each microplate well, run the quantitative immunoassay workflow, and quantify GDPD2 levels in patient serum or plasma using a microplate reader.
