Human GDNF ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA, double antibody immunoassay designed for the quantitative detection of Glial Cell Line-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (GDNF) in human samples. The kit targets the GDNF protein (UniProt P39905) and is intended for research applications investigating this neurotrophic factor, which plays a critical role in the development and maintenance of dopaminergic neurons and has been implicated in neurodegenerative disorders.

Sensitivity is reported at 2.813 pg/mL, with a measurable range of 4.688–300 pg/mL. The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Unopened kits should be stored at 2–8°C, where they remain stable for 12 months. Linearity in serum falls within 84–101% across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:8, with EDTA plasma at 80–102% and heparin plasma at 81–99%. Recovery averages 94% in serum and EDTA plasma, and 91% in heparin plasma.

The procedure follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, incubate standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, add biotin-labelled detection antibody for a 60-minute incubation, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes. Colour develops with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, after which stop solution is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
