Human GDF6 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit is designed for the accurate quantification of Growth Differentiation Factor 6 (GDF6) levels in human samples including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. GDF6 is a key protein involved in cell differentiation and growth, playing a crucial role in various developmental processes and tissue regeneration. Abnormal expression of GDF6 has been linked to skeletal anomalies and joint disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.

Validated sample types include cell or tissue lysate and other liquid samples alongside serum and plasma. Linearity in serum (n=5) was 85-90% at 1:2, 89-103% at 1:4, and 85-98% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 83-101%, 86-100%, and 84-94% at the same dilutions; heparin plasma (n=5) showed 91-98%, 84-98%, and 81-93%. Recovery in serum (n=5) ranged from 87-100% (average 93%), EDTA plasma (n=5) from 92-103% (average 97%), and heparin plasma (n=5) from 85-104% (average 91%). The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
