Human GDF15 (Growth Differentiation Factor 15) CLIA Kit (HUES00078)

A chemiluminescence immunoassay from Assay Genie for the quantitative determination of Human Growth Differentiation Factor 15 (GDF15, also known as GDF-15, MIC-1, MIC1, NAG-1, PDF, PLAB, PTGFB or TGF-PL) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The kit uses a Sandwich-CLIA format on a pre-coated micro plate; samples are incubated with a specific capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate, with signal read as Relative Light Units on a chemiluminescence analyzer. The assay runs in 3.5 hours, requires a 100 μL sample volume, and offers a sensitivity of 4.69 pg/mL with a detection range of 7.81-500 pg/mL. Performance has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and cell culture media, with average recoveries of 107%, 92% and 99% respectively. The kit recognises Human GDF15 with no significant cross-reactivity or interference from analogues, and both intra- and inter-assay CVs are below 15%. It is intended for research applications in cell biology and biomarker studies in cancer, cardiovascular and metabolic disease research.
