Human GDF11 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of GDF11 (Growth Differentiation Factor 11) levels in human samples. It is a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich ELISA with a stated sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. The kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n = 5) is 87–103% for serum, 85–102% for EDTA plasma, and 87–105% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 88–104% (serum, average 95%), 85–104% (EDTA plasma, average 98%) and 88–99% (heparin plasma, average 93%). The workflow uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution is added.

The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. GDF11, also known as BMP-11, is described in the manufacturer literature as a regulator of cell growth, differentiation and regeneration whose dysregulation has been linked to aging, muscle degeneration and cardiovascular disorders, making it a useful biomarker for related research.
