Human GDF-8/Myostatin ELISA Kit

GDF-8, also known as myostatin, is a key regulator of muscle growth and development. Increased levels of GDF-8 have been linked to muscle wasting, muscular dystrophy, and other muscle-related disorders, making this kit relevant to research into muscle biology, disease processes and potential therapeutic interventions.

The kit provides a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL with a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL, and components are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. Reported linearity (n=5) for serum is 98-103% at 1:2, 98-104% at 1:4 and 91-105% at 1:8; EDTA plasma ranges 84-101% / 89-100% / 82-99%; heparin plasma ranges 83-98% / 85-100% / 84-95%. Average spike-and-recovery (n=5) is 94% for serum, 98% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma.
