The Human GCHFR ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of GTP Cyclohydrolase I Feedback Regulator (GCHFR), also referred to as GFRP or p35. GCHFR functions as a feedback inhibitor of GTP cyclohydrolase I (GCH1), the rate-limiting enzyme that controls tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) biosynthesis in the body.

BH4 serves as an essential cofactor for nitric oxide synthase and phenylalanine hydroxylase, placing GCHFR at the intersection of neurotransmitter synthesis, vascular tone regulation, and aromatic amino acid metabolism. Research applications for this kit include studies of chronic pain sensitivity, dystonia, hyperphenylalaninemia, endothelial dysfunction, and inflammatory signaling pathways.
