The Human GBP6 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for measuring Guanylate-Binding Protein 6 (GBP6), an interferon-gamma-induced GTPase involved in host defense against intracellular pathogens. GBP6 expression is strongly upregulated in macrophages and epithelial cells during mycobacterial infection and is increasingly studied in tuberculosis, inflammatory bowel disease, and tumor immunology research workflows. This 96-format microplate kit uses a human-specific capture antibody with no significant cross-reactivity with related GBP family members such as GBP1, GBP2, or GBP5, and is appropriate for studies in human cell culture models and primary immune cells. The recommended sample volume is 100 µL per well, and the assay is intended for in vitro research use only with serum or plasma specimens. Standards are supplied for quantitative interpolation of unknown samples. Unopened kits should be refrigerated; reconstituted reagents are stored frozen at -20°C and protected from light to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
