Human GATM ELISA Kit (HUFI04163)

The Assay Genie GATM immunoassay enables quantitative measurement of human glycine amidinotransferase, the mitochondrial rate-limiting enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of an amidino group from arginine to glycine to form guanidinoacetic acid, the immediate precursor of creatine. The kit employs a human-specific capture antibody pair, supporting research on renal tubule physiology, pancreatic beta-cell function, and inherited cerebral creatine deficiency syndrome type 3 (CCDS3), a neurodegenerative disorder linked to GATM loss-of-function mutations. Each kit includes pre-coated microplate strips, biotinylated detection reagent, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibrated standards, and assay buffer in vials sufficient for one full plate of determinations. Following incubation, the well plate is read spectrophotometrically and results are interpolated against the supplied standard curve. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and frozen to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and the working detection reagent should be kept refrigerated between uses.
