Human Gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies this ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human Gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The neuropeptide GRP has roles in gastrointestinal hormone release and is implicated in cancer progression and metastasis.

The assay uses a competitive ELISA format with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm. Specificity is directed at natural and recombinant human GRP. Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 7.1% and inter-assay CV is 9.3%. Recovery in serum averaged 101% (range 95–107%) and in plasma averaged 103% (range 97–109%).

Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions of spiked samples (n=5) was 86–96%, 86–96%, 103–115%, and 81–93% for serum; 103–112%, 113–122%, 102–112%, and 100–112% for EDTA plasma; and 105–115%, 92–101%, 98–108%, and 88–100% for heparin plasma. The product is for research use only.
